Medicare funds should not be cut due to the importance of the program. Since the elderly don't normally have jobs, they would not have enough money to pay for their medical needs. The elderly also need much more medical attention/needs than young people or older adults. Without Medicare, the elderly would have a high poverty and homeless rate which is something that America does not need, since we have high poverty levels already. We need to support the elderly who have contributed to our economy and nation, not neglect them. Congressman should support increased spending for Medicare and fit it into the fiscal policy.
